About

JESUS ALIVE MINISTRY

Jesus Alive Ministry (JAM) is an international Assemblies of God church based in Macau, where our service is held in English, while our satellite church in Yuen Long, Hong Kong conducts services in Indonesian. We are the first church under the Assemblies of God Macau Missionaries’ Association (AG Macau).

Established in June 2014, we are a small yet vibrant community church serving our big GOD and His beloved people. Our home church in Macau has served both local residents and expatriates coming from different countries, including Macau, the Philippines, Indonesia, America and South America – and we embrace all cultures, backgrounds and walks of life in the midst of us with the love of Jesus Christ.

VISION

Telling everyone that JESUS IS ALIVE and HE GIVES LIFE!

STATEMENT OF FAITH

– We believe the Scriptures are inspired by God and declare His design and plan for mankind.

– We believe there is only One True God – revealed in 3 persons, Father, Son & Holy Spirit (commonly known as the Trinity).

– We believe in the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. As God’s Son Jesus was both human and divine.

– We believe, though originally good, man willingly fell to sin, ushering evil and death, both physical and spiritual, into the world.

– We believe that every person can have restored fellowship with God through salvation (accepting Christ’s offer of forgiveness for sin).

– We believe and practice 2 ordinances: (i) Water Baptism by immersion after repenting of one’s sins and receiving Christ’s gift of salvation, (ii) Holy Communion (the Lord’s Supper) as a symbolic remembrance of Christ’s suffering and death for our salvation.

– We believe in the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it. It is a special experience following salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service, just as it did in the New Testament times.

– We believe that sanctification initially occurs at salvation and is not only a declaration that a believer is holy, but also a progressive lifelong process of separating from evil as believers continually draw closer to God and become more Christ-like.

– We believe that the Church has a mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin. We believe “the Church” is the Body of Christ and consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God’s offer of redemption (regardless of religious denomination) through the sacrificial death of His Son Jesus Christ.

– We believe in a divinely called and scripturally ordained leadership ministry serves the Church. The Bible teaches that each of us under leadership must commit ourselves to reach others for Christ, to worship Him with other believers, and to build up or edify the body of believers, the Church.

– We believe divine healing of the sick is a privilege for Christians today and is provided for in Christ’s atonement (His sacrificial death on the cross for our sins).

– We believe in the blessed hope when Jesus raptures His Church prior to His return to earth (the second coming). At this future moment in time all believers who have died will rise from their graves and will meet the Lord in the air, and Christians who are alive will be caught up with them, to be with the Lord forever.

– We believe in the millennium reign of Christ when Jesus returns with His saints at His second coming and begins His benevolent rule over earth for 1000 years.

– We believe and look forward to the perfect new Heavens and a new earth that Christ is preparing for all people, of all time, who have accepted Him. We will live and dwell with Him there forever following His millennial reign on earth.

SENIOR PASTORS

Rev. Gilbert Humphrey (Ps. Beto) is married to Rev. June Kalalo with one amazing son Sergio.

Prior to pioneering JAM church, Ps. Beto served for a couple of years in the pastoral team at International Christian Assembly (ICA) Macau, particularly as the Indonesian language pastor, as well as assisting the worship and youth departments.

Between 2012 and 2017, he was the secretary of Indonesian Assemblies of God’s (GSJA) regional council for Asia, which covered a few dozens of Indonesian missionaries in the region, with one of his responsibilities being church planting.

He resigned from ICA Macau in early 2014 to pioneer an Indonesian church (JAM) in Macau (June), as well as Yuen Long (August) in the neighbouring Hong Kong. While JAM Yuen Long remains an Indonesian community church until today, God led JAM Macau to a new season in 2017 as the church was relaunched in January as an international Assemblies of God church.

In March that same year, Ps. Beto became the founding president of Assemblies of God Macau Missionaries’ Association (AG Macau). Currently, he serves as the secretary of AG Macau association, while Rev. Gregory Li and Rev. Olinto de Oliveira serve as president and vice-president, respectively.

From 2012 to early 2021, he was Transform World 2020’s international facilitator for the sphere of arts. In addition, Ps. Beto is a conference catalyst for the 4/14 Window Movement. His passions include music, praise and worship, arts, movies and writing.

Ps. June served for many years at Solideo Tonsealama AG Church in North Sulawesi before leaving Indonesia to be the lead pastor of JAM Yuen Long from August 2014 until July 2017, when she married Ps. Beto and join her husband as senior pastors of JAM International (for both Macau and Hong Kong), while Ps. Dyah became JAM Yuen Long’s coordinator.

Together, they share the same vision to reach out to all nations in Macau and Hong Kong, particularly the expatriates (migrant groups), while still passionate about connecting with and serving the locals.
